You are, of course, correct, but I'd like to think that this one has some hope of being better than it's ancestors )

Well there was another change - no one crashed into his brother.

Great reviews of real world sport bikes. This test alone is worth more than the piffling $12 so many on this site carp about. BTW I agree with the choice of bikes for this shoot out. These particular scoots. along with the Speed Triple are at the extreme end of the sporting standard range, and deserve to be segregated from the more standard oriented fare such as the ZRX, and Bandit. My only question is why include the FZ1 in this mix? VWW

Default Granny-Specs...

Long as she don't creak louder than the bed, she'll do just fine.

Hate it when they go "Crunch," or click their false teeth...Poly Grip's sorta fun, thought, if ya know where to use it (whaddya know, grossed myself out, again).

Default The MO Streetfighter Shootout Part I

I've said it before, but it's worth saying again.

Thanks, Buz, for offering up your Brutale to be thrashed--I mean tested--by this crew. And thus all the MOFOs get to vicariously sample it.

The damn thing is art.

Are you going to bring it to Laguna in July? Or the venerable ST4?

Ain't nothing perfect, but I think the bigger guys are gonna fare better, on the Speed Triple and the FZ-1.

In that case, the price-point comparison (if it's considered) should play a pretty big part in deciding the winner...As long as, the S-Tri doesn't have that funky- pink-paint- job.

Looks shouldn't count that much, but...eeew!

Default Speed 3

Thank goodness there is no universal opinion on bikes. with that said, I fell for a low price on a speed triple. I thought the speed triple had a great motor, but it didn't handle well. obviously i have no idea of your needs, but it ain't all that for sure. I swallowed hard got rid of it and am much happier with an sv1000s with some suspension upgrades.

Default Hey, it's pink. Ya can't handle that?

Y'know, j, that "nuclear red" (give me a freakin' break, it's pink) paint job is one of my favorite factory paint jobs of all time.

The speed triple by itself is sort of a metaphorical poke in the gob. And the roulette green is the right direction. But pink? Man, that's completely over the top.
