The Victory 8-ball has a lot more power than the Kaw MeanStreak. It has much cleaner lines, better styling, brakes and far superior handling than either the MS or the Warrior. The Vic's are worth the slightly higher price

Victory seems to have positioned themselves in a spot between the current production cruisers and the custom cruiser manufactures. Being production machines everything that goes into a Vic seems to be engineered for that bike where as the custom bikes components seem to be a "what parts will fit that look cool" approach. Lexus did not build their brand image on that LS400. Riders who started with Honda cruisers are moving to HD in an alarming rate for their 2nd or 3rd bike purchase. Victory seems to be positioned to appeal to the metric cruiser rider who wants something new, some thing different and something that will be different than the current Jap offerings, but they have come to expect reliability and value. The Victory offerings fill those needs and wants. A lower Price ? Their are some real cherries out there in todayÂ’s bike market, bikes that are at the top 10% of their class but their price tag is significantly lower than their peers. In the Cruiser segment the VictoryÂ’s are those "Cherries"

You've got an excellent point, there Johnny. When is the next pod available? I'll see if I can squeeze in a tatoo appointment in the meantime.

Listen, I'm all for branding. It's got way more positive aspects than negative ones. But, it's obvious that sometimes there is absolutely no value behind it. You've got a good example right there.

But this fat tire thing is a different animal, I think. It's a fashion thing. And as we know, fashion can be a dangerous thing. Witness trucker hats (shiver).

If I understand corectly, they are a cheep baseball cap with a obnoxious slogin on it.

Though I don't know what the big deal was about them. Everyone has a baseball cap or two, so why does being a cheep cap make it stylish?

Don't knock fashion. You'll upset Buzglyd and longride for their fascination with armchaps.
