So when will Honda bring the VFR and the CBR 1100 (do they still make them?) into the current century? Both of these bikes need a displacement infusion.

...What, those things put out around 55 hp, right? Around 250 lbs wet.

Successor to the mighty CR500R?

What I can't figure out is why someone would buy a 919 when a new FZ1 can be bought where I live for only about two hundred bucks more.

It's a 5Kdollar plus 250 c.c. scooter which according to Honda weighs 363 pounds. No need to flip the passenger seat up to be able to bring home the bacon because it evidently already IS the bacon.

Honda is becoming the Buick of motorcycling.

I think 55hp is the claimed crank hp of the 450R, so I'd imagine the X will be a slightly less. 255 claimed dry weight in the press release so figure 280+ wet.

I got an entire decent 700 Magna engine from Bill's Boneyard for $200 and my old CB125. The new engine had less lash in the front bevel drive and apparently is out of a later year bike. The cams look better than the original engine too.

I'm gonna keep it for around town errands for now. I'm trying to compete with mscuddy for the title of "Owner of the Most Oldest Japanese Bikes."

Actually, the CRF230 replaces the XR200. And, apparently, doesn't do it very well.

Just when I was thinking of buying a 2005 model. I don't understand why they pulled it.
