EXACTLY. first rate chassis/suspension utterly let down by roto-till powerplant.

try to imagine a buell powered by an SV1000. hell, for that matter, an SV650. as long as the buell is paired with the sportster motor it'll be second rate. it's a real shame.

lipstick on a pig ...

What other japonese in-line fours does it look like? Do you mean the engine or the whole bike?

Kawasaki Trannies? Is that when a Kawi gets its exhaust pipe cut off, and goes around dressed up like a Harley? You devil.

Default No chain to lube

One other thing no one has mentioned here. If you are like me, and you ride a lot I.E at least 1,000+ miles a month. Then you get tired of cleaning, and lubing a chain. One of the reasons I went with a Buell was to get ride of taking care of a chain twice a month. I would rather be out riding!

Does it really look like a kawasaki police 1000 or a voyager to you. I think the police 1000 looks like a harley(or should I say wants to look like a harley) and the voyager looks like a geo metro.

Compared to these 2 bikes I would say the z1000 looks more like a buell( or should I say wants to).

Of course you would say that, but don't forget, your Buell's have not done that well in formula xtreem, and you still owe me $20 bucks!

Well, OK, I was thinking more of the race-rep sportbikes. Don't think the Z1000 "attempt" to look like a Buell is much of a success, though. Only a Buell really looks like a Buell (though a civilian might confuse a tube-frame Buell with a Duc Monster.

I think it would be very funny to see those gold pipes on a new ZX10 or R1.

I should say that the buell and duc do have about the same outdated equipment so they are about the same.
