Default Re: who buys these?

I don't even know what the heck arm chaps are.

As for my catchy phrase - yes I did make that up - I'm 4000 years old.

I know I know you were wondering the rationale of making a bike that it's in H-D's market niche but costs about the same but doesn't have the all important logo on the tank. It's a good point I guess. But the fact is that Niche is about 3000 miles wide - in fact its exactly 3000 miles wide. Plus maybe some folks in between the two coasts don't associate a name on the tank as defining "the real deal." Exactly what deal is real about H-D anyway? It's an american ? Yeah sort of ... uless you stopto think where all the parts are made - motors from china? C'mon. So what's the real deal again? At least the Vic is honest effort that stamps "Made in USA" on the cylinder head (or at least they used to). And the fact that supposedly part of the appeal of the H-D phenomenon is that it conveys rugged individualistic americanism... and that appeal of individualism is gettig harder to justify when they sell 200,000 per year... maybe opens a door for Victory.

Now watch them go belly up in a few years and prove me wrong. Doubt it though - they seem committed to their product.

In all seriousness though, I did mis-read your post a bit. So Ok I'm dumb and you're smart, you're good looking and I look like crap. Humble pie and groveling galore! It's just that when people call Harley "the real deal" or any other similar crap that makes no sense it pushes a button. But I'm all for the common ignorance. Not having the same thing everyone else has is part of the appeal of Victory. When all the hordes of individualistic H-D owners don't even know what the heck it is it just makes me feel glad to not be one of 'em.

Stoned? Hmmm. I could use a taste of some Jack Daniels Single Barrel.

I wouldn't know. I never click on them. They're just lying leftwing propaganda from a buffoon.

I just counted, between this thread and the Triumph sales thread he posted the same thing nine times about Kerry or Reaganomics or whatever he's on about now.

Have you seen the outrage from the libbies over the new Bush commercial? It has veterans saying Kerry's a disgrace to his country and the military. It's funny how they whine when someone's poking them instead of Bush.

And now that hornswaggler McCain is jumping on the bandwagon, too. Didn't Bo Gertz label McCain a collaborator at the Hanoi Hilton? He was all warm and cozy with the VC, I understand from one of Gertz's articles.

I think the Veterans against Kerry ads are the most damning evidence against electing that dork. And Topo-Jijo, his wife. Man she's got some skeletons hidden away...
