Re: TZ750 Streetbike
Just think. In an alternate universe somewhere, where two-strokes weren't banned, there is an alternate KPaul taunting everyone that inline4 is dead 'cause two strokes rule.

And for once he'd be right.

If only.... I'd give my left nut for it.

Re: Two Strokes for Dummies
Maybe, instead of dropping bombs in Iraq, we could drop old white tanked Mach IIIs. Al Queda could tank-slap themselves to death.

Re: Two Strokes for Dummies
Had one of the first H1s in the country in 69. A blue and white beauty. At the time it seemed like the most technologically advanced two stroke that would ever be made. Years later a friend bought a grey market RG500 Gamma and let me take it for a ride. I still have dreams about it. VWW

Re: Two Strokes for Dummies
Far more impressive that the kwackers were Suzuki's 380, 550 and 750 triples. Not so much peak power, but the 380 could stomp any four stroke in a drag race and still run the freeways comfortably with a passenger. A friend of mine used to tour all over on one of those with his wife and saddlebags, etc. Try that with a comparable 4-stroke like the 400 Hawk.

Dang I miss the two strokes. Simplicity personified.

Re: Two Strokes for Dummies
I have ridden one of the old ram air cooled Suzukis and they were more user friendly than the Kawasakis. I've also ridden several of the GT 750 water buffalos and have been fighting the urge to bid on some of the nicer examples that have appeared on e-bay. It's a pity that so many younger motorcyclists have never experienced a big 2 stroke comming on the pipe. Unlike the Great motorcycle puppet I recognized all of the old 2 strokers on you list. Too bad we've lost bikes with names like Big Bear Scrambler, Big Horn, Hustler, Samurai, Roadrunner, Hill Billy and the like. VWW
