I haven't figured out how to get it through airport security yet and into the overhead compartment.

Those japanese manuals were simultaneously both funny and confusing. I remember my manual for one of the early Yamahas warned against "dust demons". I, however soon grew weary of wearing the special poultice to ward them off. VWW

Default Monelli Torque 'n Torque

Torque, glorious torque. Torque, glorious torque.

I'll take the Yossef Monelli Torque 'n Torque (TNT) special edition!

And once again Yossef manages to keep the camcorder in one piece.

The bizarre part is that the designer of this sculpture is British! (if I read the article correctly...)

Default Cute.

That one elicited the intended LOL.

Three cheers for the new R1 though; that thing's the most beautiful Japanese bike I've ever seen -- I saw a couple at the track last weekend, for the price I'm in love, but I could never own one -- it's too pretty and too powerful for a schmuck like me to hurtle down the track, and damned if I'm riding one on the street. Here's hoping the next R6 follows in design cues.

All this little piece needed was the names of the R1's designers.

Maybe the design is hit-and-miss, but I think it's gorgeous. The front end looks like some kind of vicious Vader-insect thing, I love the ominous glower of the headlights.

Any word on a US release date and / or price?

To me it looks like an amalgam of Buell, Triumph Speed Triple and Honda VTR.

Looks good!

Looks a lot like a preying mantis.

What would be its prey? Speed Triples?
