Default Re: Why not a Civic?

I didn't realize harley included such modern technology as a CD player on their bikes. What are the purists going to say?

Default You hated the V-Rod?!

Under most circumstances I take the philosophy of "different strokes for different folks", but anyone who hates the V-Rod is just plain wrong. Or has never ridden one balls out.

If slamming that bike through it's gears can't put a smile on your face then its time to escalate to a big bore needle full of adrenaline jabbed straight into your heart a la Pulp Fiction.

The frames don't crack either so I'll guess they'll say, "I'll take that over a GoldWing anytime."

Default Re: Classic Tourers Comparo

I'm just amazed you were able to buy a 1998 model in 1987!

Who do you know at the Motor Company?

Default Thank gawd...

...for mother's little helper! 'Scrips are so easy to simulate for the authorities.

BTW, good job, guys-this is why I spend the bucks. although I'll probably never go back to cruisers, I enjoyed the diverse styles and opinions represented in the article. Any chance you guys could list the heights, inseams, and (approximate)weights of the testers? I'd like to know what future testers think of the liter-class and sport-tourer stuff by fit.

Bryan...tired of whiny short people ...

Default Re: increasing your displacement

Shut up!

We had the bike show here in Denver last weekend and Buell had a big ole' display. Is it just my imagination, or does the average Buell clutch lever require a come-along to operate properly? Jeez, there is no such thing as two-fingering (heh, heh) that lever...

Bryan...I could crush pool balls after a week on that thing...

I've only had one mess up my handling but at least I'm not cutting her alimony checks anymore.

Default I had a VW Beetle just like that!

...yup, it was a 1966 on it's first engine and maxed out around 80 mph going downhill. Shook like *****, noisy as Hell, and I had people offering to buy it for more than it cost new. I drove that thing all over creation-put some real miles on it, ya know?

Of course I sold it-best thing I ever did was buy a vehicle designed after the Second world War with the proceeds. Maybe you should try moving into the last half of the 20th century yourself...I mean, at least try a sportster, fer Crissakes.

Bryan...don't be a Luddite forever...
