This just in from CNN (really!):

"The first case of mad cow disease in the United States has been discovered in Washington state, the U.S. Department of Agriculture said Tuesday. "While this would represent the first finding of BSE in the United States we have worked hard to ensure our response is swift and effective," said Agriculture Secretary Ann Veneman. "

Hey KP, might want to go hide in the basement. I think I hear your doorbell ringing.

Sounds like BMW fukced themselves up again. Had they entered their standard 1200C, the testers wouldn't have made most of the complaints they did regarding power, ergos, etc....

Default Make sure you take your meds.

"Not only is he a World Class Political Analyst, an Expert on Forest Management, a Genius EE at Boeing, a Superior Judge of Motorcycle value, and an expert at winning Club Races on a Ninja limited to 9000 rpm, he is now also a PR flack for Honda(tm). "

Tip of the icebeg man. You forgot my most prized label "Motorcycle Prophet". It's fun getting the old gray pony tails' blood pressure up.

"Sad, really. Multiple Personality Disorder with a side order of ADHD. I recommend 125 Electro-shock treatments, lobotomies of the prefrontal lobes, frontal lobes and cerebellum all followed by 50,000ccs of a mixture of thorazine, stellazine, prozac and sterno." Sounds like you have been there done that to me. what the hell is stellazine?

I think the Nomad you tested may have not have been as good as most are. I had an '01, and I recall much better gas milage and range, with very smooth mirrors as well. My only complaints were the foot boards (not forward enough - as noted in your review), and the fan (it came on constantly, and was very noisy). I sold that bike and bought a 1600 Classic - which I am enjoying much more.

Good range of models and viewpoints as usual. Did you guys consider putting a Moto Guzzi into this compro ? They've got air-cooled twins.

It's "stout and hearty", not "stout and hardy".

These all sound like nice bikes, but my '75 CB750F with Windjammer and the Ortlieb dry duffle bag on the back compares very favorably.
