It's not just low skill low paying jobs going offshore now. If you are a business owner who do expect to buy your stuff with what money (Food Stamps, Welfare payment, Unemployment check, McJob paycheck)

Default Why Japanese and European motorcycles will become unaffordable

"The current $455 billion deficit is:

the highest deficit in current dollar terms in history

the highest deficit adjusted for inflation since WWII

$1,561 per person

4.2% of GDP "

Are deficits bad?

Default Easy Listening

Since I won't be the first off-topic in this thread, I'd like to give you folks a tip for a great cyber-radio station if you don't know about it already.

Especially on frigid days like today (it only got up to 58 today! Brrrr!), RM has some fab music to make the day go smoother.

Hope this helps.

My wife and took the "blue canoe" (http://www.dot.state.ak.us/amhs/) from Bellingham, WA to Haines (stopped in Skagway) in the summer of '01. We rode on my $950 '78 GL1000 from Haines to Anchorage, Denali National Park, back to Anchorage, and then from Anchorage back home to MN (down to Seattle, San Fran, Lake Tahoe, Highway 50, Lake Powell, Durango, Denver, home). The ride from Anchorage to Seattle was incredible. I'd recommend it to anyone. Don't believe the horror stores about carrying 5 spare tires. 9500 miles in 31 days.

Only 58? Must be terrible. Here it got all the way up to 48. That's Farenheit, not Celsius.

The best thing to do to make the day go smoother is get on your bike and ride it. If you start to get cold, just remember to tell yourself: "One day I'll have great big hairy b@lls." If you practice this, eventually you might get so cold that you'll start to believe yourself. Of course, the temp will have to be much lower than 48 for this to work. About 28 will usually get the job done.

And don't forget the most important part: No heated anything. Not gloves, not jacket, not vest, not grips, not anything electric. If you've got all that electric stuff so you won't be too cold, just drive the car with the heater on like the sissy you really are.

With any luck, this will start a good roaring flame war to keep us all nice and toasty.

Sent him into a frenzy again, eh? Pavlov wasn't only correct with dogs. He should have included complete idiots in his experiment, but KPaul was born a little late. See what ya started?

Alaska is on my list for sure. Only I'll be riding from Chicago. If seruzawa or Buz had the guts, they would go with me! Chickens they are!
