...or even the Africa Twin. The wife and I borrowed one to tour around England last April. What a hoot! I can definitely see why these bikes are so popular. If only they were imported here to the States... of course there are plenty of other models which fall into this category as well.

Hokey Smokes, Bullwinkle! What an interesting bike! Can you imagine a sport touring rig from these folks? I'll not judge looks until I see it in person at the upcoming bike show...I've fooled myself WAY too may times in the past falling into motolust before I see her in the flesh.

The new millenium looks better every day! Buell/"Hardley" better get on the stick!

Well, from my perspective people in their 30's are younger riders. At least, younger than the baby boomers with delusions of being Marlon Brando.

Anyhow, I think that there could be a strong niche in the market for a modern deisgned Harley hooligan bike. Heck the Sportster was the Original Hooligan Bike. It was the baddest boy around on the market for a decade. The company used to dominate dirt track racing. And they could do it again if they had the will.

Like my daddy told me.... anytime anyone tells you that it is not about the money it is best to check to see if your wallet is still in your pocket.

The only people not intersted in making a profit are the government. And they simply steal what they want.

I agree the Sportster has evolved into the "little Big Twin" instead of its orginal mission which is now occupied by Buell. I always wondered why H-D kept the Buell name when they bought the company.

Sticking Harley-Davidson on the tank would have to be worth a few more sales.

I think the KTM is a bad-ass piece of equipment but I like the looks of the Tuono better.

Hmmmm..check the race results..Hd still dominates the mile dirt track events.Although i believe the KTM v twin in a good purpose built frame (it will happen soon) could beat the venerable XR750.

KPaulCook IÂ’m sorry I didnÂ’t know that I gave credit where credit was not warranted.

I thought that Seruzawa was capable of one insightful post a week; everybody knows he has about 600 stupid ideas a week that he feels that he must share with everyone on this site.

EBass,

How many MO interns to I have to subject to dirt-bike abuse before MO will comp me one of these?

Curiously,
