Agree. Imagine the meeting:

"Should we bring a red, white and blue Honda superbike to the US?"

"Nah, Americans hate those colors."

Freaking morons. That is the only scheme that helps the CBR look decent. Chalk the sales up to the Kawi and the R1.

While we're at it, let's talk about the Hornet. Dear God, I'd hate to try to sell that dullmobile against a Z750.

C'mon Honda, y'all can do better.

Great job MO.

The idea of the Aprilia 450 Twin in an RS250 frame/body has me almost as excited as a lap dance from one of the models.

Take a look at the pics at the end of the article to look at the Mondial streetfighters (pics 58-61). The RZ has clipons but is missing 90% of the plastic (and what's there is attitude/decorative, not protective). The Nuda only appears to have plastic immediately around the wild headlamps.

My understanding of streetfighter bikes is that they intend to appeal to two wildly different audiences. The first group likes the "machine art" appeal of a naked bike, doesn't do sustained riding at high speed, and will usually leave the bike with a mostly stock appearance. The other audience are a group that like to heavily modify a bike's appearance and prefer a "cleaner canvas" from which to start.

Regards,

Ross

Default No Z750 in the States?

So is the Z750 coming to the US, or no? Because it ain't on Kawi's website.

Hope so, because it's the only Jap bike that's grinding my gears. It's like the '70's again - the sportbikes have become the new UJM, and the Italians are making stylish, exciting alternatives.

I want an SFC1000 _bad_.

"nobody expected Suzuki to soldier on with the 750 displacement that falls into a wonderful no-mans land of almost 600 agility with almost 900cc power. "

Another way to put is could be:

"600-beating power and literbike stomping agility."

>>That's ok I know you read my stuff. And others do so its no big deal. Others see how stupid your put downs of Mladin etc.<<

I musta missed the Mladin stuff while I was gone, but otherwise, I read almost everything posted. Your posts are usually stupid and/or irritating, with an occasional gem of "mediocre." Your "facts and data" tend to be misplaced. Okay, I'm ignoring you again.
