Does the XB12R shake like a paint mixer at idle? That was the #1 thing that turned me off to the old Lightning. It screamed "we have no engineers working at this company" every time I stopped at a light.

What 's wrong with a steel frame that Kawasaki has to cover it up? And why can't they make it look nice like Yamaha can with the FZ-1, or Ducati with the Monster?

How about one that actually is a transformer!!

Assuming that it didn't have to turn into a robot, does anyone have any good suggestions?

Well, of course the Hayabusa would be less a Transformer and more of a Robotech defender.

Stacked headlights and all.

You know, now that I think about it, this could explain all the extraneous chrome bits on Harleys. They're connectors. Any five Harleys can join to form VOLTRON...but only across town. Any intergalactic kicking of Alien Monster Butt (tm) and the sword would start leaking.

You think the FZ-1 frame looks nice?

dude, it's not a choke, it's a fast idle. there is no choke on fuel injected motorcycles.

Yes. There's definitely nothing fancy about it, but they did a good job with it.

it still very much shakes. almost as bad as the previous generation buells. But that's at idle. At 1500RPM and up it goes away even though you can very clearly feel the power pulses. Kinda wierd that I can pull away smoothly on my 750cc/I-4 at 1200-1500 PRM but needed like 2500 on the Buell to keep it from having a total fit. Maybe it was just the heavy clutch. I'm waiting for the XB9RT as in R'ish but Tourish: higher handlebars than the R, useful fairing, and a rear subframe that will accomodate soft luggage in a reasonable manner. Than again maybe I'll just get the Vstrom 650.

I test rode a 1000 V-Strom awhile back , neat bike just not what I was after at the time. The 650 version should sell well.
