Well Honda I held off on buying the Tuono because of the naked RC51 rumours but you let me down. I guess It's time to go to the Aprillia dealer.

I like it. If I were to buy any of these '04 Hondas, it'd be that one.

Better speed and handling than a Goldwing, yet probably extremely comfortable on long rides. It's kind of like a medium class touring bike, not quite so dreadnought as the 'Wing.

And I think it looks kinda cool.

Thanks for the info. I am always surprised when Ducati's steel trellis frames are so much lighter. Maybe Honda and Yamaha could add some special depleted uranium hubs to lighten the bikes up further.

Don't forget the MV Agusta F4. That's a *****in' ass also.

The CBR1100XX has is now disco... due to be replaced by a 1200cc version. Honda is making an attempt to take on both the ZX12R and Hyabusa.

there was no '94 CB750. '93 didn't sell enough I guess despite it being my favorite color: blue. But my first bike was the red '95. Freakin' Honda! The Euro-spec Nighthawk is what they SHOULD have brought over. It would be that heavy-weight standard (but not open class) that they could have appealed to the public with. I put 85k trouble-free miles on my CB but I am LONG done with Honda.

Salvation is to be had at the hands of Kawi: namely the ZR-7(s). The perfect replacement. If you want a big standard the ZRX1200 is readily available. Though I'd wish they'd give the USA the -S version instead of just the -R. No respect for this country I tell ya.

Suzi's SV/Kat/Bandit/GS is still going to clean up the MW 'simple' bike market and I'm all for that. Yam'll get the high-perf standard market and the 599 will go absolutely nowhere just like it's big brother the 919. I swear Honda Marketing must be orbiting Mars. Total lulus!

No doubt. Remember, too, that Ducatis are sexy, which HAS to count for at least 20 pounds of weight savings. And both the Jap bikes we're discussing have padding in the seat; another five pounds.
