I think the 599 is a fantastic move, following up on the success of the 919.

I wish Honda would buy a movie studio and put this management and marketing brilliance to work in films. I'd love to see "Gigli II" and "The Further Adventures of Pluto Nash" someday.

Still raving about the paint

So the 919, an otherwise perfectly handsome motorcycle, is available in silver, and a color called "matte uranium" which sounds a lot like, well, matte silver. So you can have silver or silver.

Who's ordering the paint? What happened to Honda red? What's with all the matte black everywhere? Why does this make me nuts?

Not so fast

I don't think the Nighthawk 750 is discontinued. In fact, I don't think it's changed at all for '04, thus explaining its absence from the "new for '04" page.

I'll bet anyone that I could get a Dream 50 or NSR50R and make it street legal here in SD.

Check out the photos. The matte uranium is actually not at all silver. The color should instead be called "Matte Speed Four" or "Matte Mid-70's Nuclear Vomit"

RC51 is dodo bird, the death of VTwin sportbikes continues

This is its last year in production. VTwins are dead in sportbikes

Re: Not so fast II

Take a look at the Honda page. The only Nighthawk listed for '04 is the 250cc version. Sad really. If they were going to dump the Nighthawk 750 they should have lost the 250cc too and replaced it with that cool little Euro only CBF250.
