Just one thing you forgot, actual sale price.

Buell XB9R's are going for $2,000 under original SRP right now at Chandler H-D Buell in AZ right now. I bet in 6 months or so you can pick up a brand new XB12R for $9,000 or less.

By the way, why on earth would you want a turbo if you don't like peaky power?

That's really the only negative thing about the '04 Buells- lowering the price of the 900's just lowered their resale value. I would have hoped that of all companies HD would know never to do this...

Bingo. A little more seating subframe (my wife likes to come along!), bags, some non-cheesy protection from the elements, a little more gas... Keep the liquid cooled engine. What are the chances, eh?

Default doesn't take a genius to read a dyno chart

But peak hp and torque numbers don't tell you nearly as much as the chart. A motor with a high peak but narrow powerband can be beat by a motor with a lower peak but wider powerband. Of course, there are ways around everything - lower weight, better gearing, more gears, blah blah blah. Peak numbers are primarily for advertising, which is as close to outright lying as the lawyers say you can get. If you want real information for the street, look at the 1/4 mile time and also the rollon times for 60 - 80 and 80 - 100, which can tell you a lot more than any single number can.

If you act fast (before July 30 i think) you can still get a grand off a new Daytona. Not sure if the $500 in riding gear deal is still going on but it's a pretty sweet deal either way. That triple is going to sound closest to anything you flew in the military too.....wooohoooo
