I agree. The fact that it ticks off so many makes me want to run down to the dealer and put one in my garage.

I think Harley does have a sales and marketing problem though. Buell seems to be an afterthought in most dealerships. My local dealer (Oceanside H-D) has a salesperson who is a Buell rider and enthusiast and they still don't move many units.

I don't think the sportbike mafia is ever going to swing in Buell's direction so they'll have to go after some new demographic.

"...Now if we can just get a liquid cooled bike with a full faring and 100 horses at the wheel... " we'll have yet another GSXRYZFZX clone that I'm grown tired of...

I'm interested if they have an ST model forthcoming.

Now I can't afford two motorcycles and I really like the XB's, but I can only have one bike at a time. The problem for me with the XB is not the power or the fact that it's a Buell, it's the size of the gas tank. It's just too small for me, I have to go 50+ miles just to get to a freaking Wal-mart or Target fer chrissakes. Yeah I know, my Magna has a ****ty range too, last weekend with a nasty head wind I had to flip to reserve at 80 miles, I just won't/can't have another motorcycle at this point in time with a tiny gas tank. So I'm asking Buell to make a kickass motorcycle like the XB's, just with a 5 gallon, or more, gas tank. Then I'd make the 120 mile trip to the nearest HD/Buell dealer and buy one. If it doesn't come around in a year or so I just may have to suffer, lol, with the XB.

Yeah. All I'm saying is that spec sheets can be very misleading.

More power ain't necessarily better. Usually, but not automatically.

And on the street the difference is even less important. It's all about whacking the suits in their Bummers, isn't it? Even a Sportster can do that.

You've obviously never ridden an FZ-1 if you think it has peaky power or has less torque than a Buell. The FZ-1 has more torque everywhere than the Buell and its power is as smooth as an electric motor.

What on this bike incorporates finding new ways to do things? And what is it about their design and materials that is so much better than the Japanese?

I would just like to quote my father, "there is an ass for every seat!" It really don't matter as long as you are ridding 2 wheels and feel good about it.

Default What it's really about.

Your MSF scores, bench press and 40 yard dash time are what counts.

What's riding got to do with anything?
