Hey bud, no one expects jacket reviews to end with anything other than "Gosh, neato jacket, buy it if you like it but don't if you don't" but don't ever, ever, write any review to a biker audience that ends with "Get your FLAME ON!"

Note the thinly veiled homo-erotic nature of the " friendly jab" threat, in conjuction with the butch coiff and "flamer" jacket, one must asume certain "............HIGHWAYMAN..........connotations here. Interesting in a Freudian kind of way. Nice coat by the way, probably looks good with chaps, Eh? (chortle)

Default Who is Bree?

Alright you guys, who is Bree?

I remember Ashley, Raynette... and one other. I don't think her name was Bree.

Anyway, Ashley seems to be the only one who is still around. Either she's a glutton for punishment, or she's the only one who was able to dish it right back... probably the latter.

So lets have Ashley model the gear. Or does she wear John Ross exclusively nowadays?!

PS: nothing against you, EBass. You've got a bright future modeling gear in mags like "Easy Rider."

"See now here's this jacket of leather,

Whose flames," thought E-Bass, "are quite clever."

See him flaming around

On the wrong side of town

With his freshly shorn nuts in a tether.

Default Re: Speaking of crash test

Safety standards for motorcycle apparel are beginning to appear- in Europe. It's called "CE", and you'll see it in the form of armor, even here in the states. No such standard yet for things like thickness of leather, vs. Cordura, or types of seam stitching. However, follow your common sense and you won't go wrong- thick leather is better than thin, leather is more protective (but bulkier and warmer and less rain resistant) than textile. Funny how most motorcycle jackets sold today are textile, due as much to price as any other factor.

Re: "...First Gear products are not available online."

This was true for a long time, but no longer. FIRSTGEAR has opened up to mail order now. Many fine E-retailers, as well as old-school catalog companies, are now selling FIRSTGEAR.
