Don't get all in a huff. It was roped off in Long Beach too. At least on Friday. Now, if it was unroped on Sat and Sun, I'll be pissed off.

People are calling this thing ugly and then praising the Tuono? I think the Tuono looks like absolute crap. And don't even get me started on how a bike can be called "Naked" when you can't even see the engine.

Go take a good ride on a Duc, even a Monster, and you'll start to understand. They are solid and there is just something galactically "right" and about an air-cooled 90deg V-twin.

60deg V-twin? Inherently unbalanced, yuck. SV1k? the Tuono's long lost ugly twin. They should have retained the nice lines of the previous 650.

You wanna really know what it looks like?

A MH900e buggering R2D2.

Not my cup o' tea, but then I didn't buy my bike (GSXR750) for its looks either.

Hey man, we are talking about motorcycles. What does sense and rationality have to do with anything!

Fizzie

I agree that it was a really cool bike. Shame that Cagiva run out of Ducati 900 power units ages ago...

No, it's synonymous with:

1. People who want comfort

1a. TALL people

2. People wanting a bike that handles

3. People wanting a bike that 'can' handle dirt and sand, but maybe not mud. (maybe not this bike)

and in this case,

4. people who want a sporty bike too.

The comparison is more BMW M3, vs a 2 seat roadster I can't get into. It most certainly isn;t a truck.

Oh yes. And posers too. But are you telling me that a lot of 998 or R1 or Harley owners are NOT posers?
