I've been a Honda fan for a long time but lately they have had lots of public relations problems. Lets mention a few, Colin Edwards was dropped after he worked his butt off to win them a championship, costumers who have technical problems are told to take a hike, you guys are black listed for stuff that other journos have done many times in the past. Do they think they are so good and big and rich that they can get away with anything they deem acceptable? Do they think that enthusiasts are gonna put up with it?
I think not! I just went out and bought a Suzuki, my two Hondas are for sale. Hit them in the pocketbook and teach them a lesson. |

ever since Soicciro(?) died Honda's been taken over by bean counters and corporate clones, except for Baba-san, they don't seem to understand their buyers anymore. IMO

Honda doesn't feel that MO "represents the Honda brand" in a manner they find acceptable? In other words obtaining unbiased evaluations of their products is impossible. Thanks for the report, I finally traded my Honda, for a Suzuki, this morning after reading your article.
Who will I root for this AMA season? EB and anybody outrunning a honda. |

wrong. the previous generation ZX-6R won a comparison test against its competition and the Duc 748. <ul>http://www.motorcycle.com/mo/mccompare/00_600s.html[/list]
its hilarous how people are taking this so personally. Do you guys have nothing more important in life to whine about? and anyway, like I said, 636 in 600 is no less unfair than 900 against 1000, or 1200 against 1300. |

Great article, great pictures, video, charts, impressions. Good work guys. Boo Honda. The real winner is the guy who wants to buy a new 600 this year.
Ups for new 600s. [*]Styling (no racer boy graphics) [*]Price [*]Peformance [*] Multiple color choices (ZX6R) [*]Attention to detail (R6 dash) Downs [*]ergos and no adjustable ergos ... |

I think it's interesting that some people are whining about the Kawasaki having an extra 36 cc of displacement in this 600 comparo, but nobody is whining about the Ducati having an extra 150 cc... Is it because it's a v-twin instead of an inline 4? Seriously, I want to know.
Remember, it's always easier to do things the hard way. Chango

Why not just make everyone happy and test the ZX-6RR as well. The ZX-6RR is Kawy's true 600, so step it up to the plate. Then we'll see who the real champ is....

Nonsense. Is it cheating when 7-11 puts the liter bottles of soda on sale for the same price as the 20 ouncers? The main difference I see is that while the Kawi is bigger, it's also lighter. Don't buy one if you feel it's unfair, just accept that if you get something else, you're gonna be slower...
As far as Honda goes, I suppose if I had 80% of the market share already, I might be a bit reluctant to send a bike to a test it was going to get whipped at, too. |
