I think that most of the problems with Motor Cyclist lies with Boehm- he used to WORK for Honda, after all...

Uhhh, there's no way Honda has 80% market share in this class.

Not to defend KPaul or anything, but if you just call people names without saying anything intelligent, it just confirms suspicions that you aren't.

But the 636 has a distinct weight advantage vs. the 750's. No one sees that as unfair, and rightly so. It's not a huge advantage, but it is there.

Smaller, lighter bikes handle better as a rule (exceptions exist, no doubt). This is a classic trade-off. Of course, in this case, the 636 still manages to weigh less than the 600's... which is commendable.

I think Kawi is not breaking any rules in a class that they arguably invented in the first place with their small GPz's in the early 80's. It could be argued that they are 're-inventing' the class if you wanted to put a distinct Kawi-green cast on this argument

Honda re-wrote the rules on open-class bikes with the CBR900RR, why not Kawi in this class? I don't remember whether folks screamed about those Hondas, admittedly.

I wish I could justify buying this 636 bike $$-wise b/c I would (thus exposing my bias! )

Good to see I haven't lost my touch. I am still able to make longride attack me personally. As the great Ronald Reagan would say "There you go again"

Default New 600 Sportbike!

Press Release - Ducazuki is announcing a new competitor for the all important 600cc Supersport class. The DZR600RRRRR-RR will provide cutting edge technology in the 600 class.

Ducazuki says in an effort to provide 600cc buyers with additional midrange torque, displacement was bumped slightly to 1442cc. "This baby has top gear roll-ons like no other 600 in this class!", states a Ducazuki official.

Ducazuki is an industry leader in middleweight sportbikes and is part of the Enron holdings manufacturing concern.

Nah, that's just your imagination. Hondas never break.

Default Re: The Red/Black R6 looks nice

Nah. The yellow and red would be great if they didn't have the squidly racer graphics on them- that just ruins both of those colors. I say kudos to both Yamaha and Kawasaki for offering bikes here in the USA without them.

Hey MO: Get us an email for American Honda so we can tell 'em what we think. Post it as a new News Artcle so we don't have to wade through the BBS.

I have 2 Hondas in the garage and had my finger on the trigger for another one. This behavior by AmHon has me rethinking.
