If you don't mind how much was the "killer" price ? I'm looking at M-G for a while now but the thing I don't like is ...the price.

A little frustrating becuase there is no price and it is way underpowered. But I really like the styling. Maybe a 1000 would be a nice replacement for my SV.

I love this bike. I got to see and sit on it at AMA Motorcyle Days but not ride it. They had truck problems Saturday. Standards are hard to find and most don't come to the U.S. like the Yamaha Bulldog. The SV650 has it on performance but is one ugly dog. I plan on buying a Breva either this fall or next spring. It is a little pricey but maybe that will change. At $6495 I would buy it now.

Well I did consider the Breva and I did buy one. The SV650 is sweet but too tall (5' 6" 30" inseam) for me. I liked the Monster but I wanted to do some distance riding and thought it would be less than perfect for that. I also considered the Triumph...a lot. I am an old English bike fan any way. But I wanted to try the shaft. Hope I did not GIVE myself the shaft. I am not a beginner but have not been riding for some years now. I like the bike better than the Oriental ones I tried. I definately like it better than any cruiser I tried. Time will tell about the rest.
