I saw the orange one last Saturday at a dealership. Very hard on the eyes.

On a more positive note, I bought an RC51. Now if this snow would just go away...

The orange one may be a little hard on your eyes, but the black one looks quite nice. Personally, I don't care too much about the pipes. When I'm riding I can't see them.

My local dealer has a black one that actually looks very nice except for those goofy pipes. It seems no bigger than my Sv650 to sit on so it must really haul with THAT motor. I think with some nice aftermarket pipes it would be

quite a hell-raiser. Unfortunately I need my bikes to have a certain amount of utility and like so many others (monsters, 919s, superhawks, speed triples) it has gone totally to the other extreme. But if I had the means to have a bike just for going out and making a fool of myself, the Z1000 sure would be tough to beat.

I'm obviously in the minority here, but I like the pipes. Even the gold tint is fine.

While I really do like the trend of naked/standard bikes, this thing definitely styled by the same folks that brought us the godzilla and mothera movies. VWW

Hey John! I don't mind the pipes. I think the $7599 price you mentioned is the conversion of the Canadian price. Anyway, here's a caption for the #3 picture.

By the way nice green shoes. It adds character to your helmet.. ha ha ha.

I think this one looks kinda cool, pipes too. I'm not sure i would pay retail though when you could get say, a new Honda 600RR or a Fireblade at a seriously reduced price. Guess thats not the point though.

Default Green with envy.

No mention of the green so far - is it a Canada-only colour? Its by far the best colour for the Z1000. The orange is just plain LOUD, and the black with the red seat and the gold pipes reminds me of the Lexus luxo-boats with the gold trim that the old farts are buying. Tacky.

Make mine green, even looks nice with the gold pipes!
