It's called ZR-7. Don't think there's a green one tho.

Default What's not to like? (and a question)

the windshield. anyone who has sport toured a naked bike for more than an hour or two at a stretch can attest that a lack of bikini fairing will flat wear you out. does anyone know if a slightly larger windshield is in the works?

also, the vibration of my late, great 1200 bandit would put my hands asleep after a while. is the vibration of the kwaker comparable, or is it smoother? can the vibration be cured with a bar snake?

thanks in advance. good writeup.

How do you like your RC? I have no real experience with one, I've just always loved them. Can't wait to ride it.

i really appreciate the review. i expect the bike won't disappoint too many people.

i note that mr. burns seems to prefer the speed triple to the z1000 but for the price. i had the same decision to make a couple weeks ago. i wanted a more standard type bike to compliment my zx 7r. i would have purchased the z1000 because it seemed close enough to the target for a much lower price. then i visited the local triumph dealer and got a discounted 02 speed triple for 9500, and i got a grand rebate from triumph, so i paid 8500. i think more deals like that exist. i will admit i also didn't want to wait for the z1000 to show up at the dealer. it is already 40 degrees in idaho. almost summer.

Default Re: pretty fly for a white guy...

The Z should have a top speed around 160 mph. While it's certainly possible to ride a nake bike at that speed, it's a waste of the bike's power if it's so uncomfortable that they never attempt it.

...well, it looks like it gonna beat the crap oughta the sv 1000, so I'll be selliing my tlr and getting the "green machine" . It's about time somebody went balls out and made this bike. I'm wondering if I could rig an old KZ 900 tail light. ..the pipes? I guess I can work with them as long as they don't act like wheelie bars. black and red, tacky, orange bang, you're getting there, racing green, ... rules.

uncomfortable seat, great torque, smooth power, wicked handling.

you'll enjoy it it if you're into racing the twisties and dreaming of being 'Boz'.

if you want a comfortable race replica.. trade it in now!
