What? Too small? Why? You like your bikes to be heavier than they have to be?

The real problem with the pipes is the 4into2into4 concept. Kawasaki should have gone with a 4into4into4 set up like the original 900 and Honda's original 750, it is a look that would have rung the nostalgia bells and complemented the styling nicely.

The Z1000 in question was a preproduction unit. And it was tested against a MODIFIED FZ-1 and 919.

I think it looks pretty cool, it looks like it's got the power and handling to back up the styling, except the little fake alloy frame thingies, I checked one out at the bike show, definitely compact, but no more so than the SV1000 nekkid, the pipes look OK, and when you get a few thousand miles on them they should turn color a little more, at least they're not under the seat like 1/2 the new bike's coming out. I'll have to add it to the list of bikes that I want, Sounds like your "performance upgrade" didn't work out to well on the ZRX eh?

Default Perfect formula

Cool bike, good insight, and enough pop culture references to make Dennis Miller look like a sports commentator. My $11.94 re-up is yours, JB.

Well, you know me--it's style over substance every time. 128 hp is the correct number.

I have not rid the SV tousand yet, and Sean didn't get to ride the Z in the few days I had my paws on it, unfortunately. I suspect the SV's bigger, heavier and softer. Check specs at suzuki and kawasaki.coms (bearing in mind that claimed dry weights are way off).

See, I knew somebody would know. My favorite thing about the internet is it makes fact-checking redundant.
