Dear Hi-way boy,

To paraphrase another vegetable brain who went by the name of R. Reagan: "There you go again!"

You and your fixation on muscular RUB riders and their 40% Japanese content Glides goes a long way to defining your orientation.

By the way Hi-way, have you ever kick started a big HD engine to life, one kick, hot or cold?

Ever forget to retard a magneto on a ironhead and go flying over the bars?

Are you one of those RUBs who are HOG members? You know, those adventurous souls who don't go more than 20 miles without a backup truck. The same ones who made Jerry Lewis rich with his MS scheme.

Give us a bio, and let us know if you are in fact the quintessential 21st century macho wannabe that has made HD such a rich company.

Default Re: Think they include a ghoulish laugh too?

I'm sure it's a balancing act. My company is private so we don't have to worry about that and never will.

I guess it's our terminology. You refer to it as cold-hearted. To me it's just reality. I've been on the wrong end of a layoff. It caused me to start my own business and now I'm earning 4 times what I earned back then.

So I suppose with every "cold-hearted" decision comes an opportunity.

Default Re: The Highway Man Rides to Sturgis

I know I could find plenty of great routes but as a single parent most of my adventures are coordinated around the weekends that my ex has my son. That usually allows me about 1500 miles over a weekend. That's why I have to fly anything longer than 400-500 miles one way.

Did I mention it was sunny and 78 degrees in San Diego today?

Funny, it seems to me to get to those "beefy ripplin muscles" on at least 65% of "harley-men", you'd have to go through 30 lbs. of fat!

Default My Manhood is Not Connected to a Corporate Symbol

I just like to Ride.

Offer to let me ride your SV-600, I will.

An old Kawy 750, should be fun!

A panhead? Lets see how it feels compared to an EVO.

Hell, I don't know enough about bikes to care.

As long as it's reliable.

If you feel that buying a black trans-am and spinning your wheels at every light makes you a man, good for you. If you feel what your bike says on the tank makes you a man, good for you.

The rest of us know better.

Default San Diego to Chicago.

You dog. I have a friend believe or not moved back to Chicago from San Diego. She said she missed the people. No doubt she knew longride . I spent the month of December once in Chicago and I have never been colder. That includes Colorado. The cold in Chicago was so penetrating. 40 and sunny for change here.

Default why we have longride

"I guess you would actually have to know something about motorcycles to know these things. I guess that leaves you out. " This is why we have you.

Default limit on the number of times each person can post comments

I'd like to see a limit on the number of times each person can post comments in a 24 hour period. Might put a damper on the running flame wars that develop in almost every feedback section now.
