You don't even have the bike and you're already planning how to fix it. Why not just buy a v-rod.

Jeese. You make Harley riders sound gay. I've always wondered why Harley men keep to their own kind on the road". Now I know.

Default WOO HOO - HE SPEAKS!! LOL

This guy is great, most entertaining thing I've read on any bike site today!

Of course, I've never seen any of the Harley riders he's writing about... I've just seen those other Harley riders, you know.

That's what I don't understand either!

How can a bike with 70 ft/pounds of torque be so slow? I like the look of the Harleys, but the few I've ridden, complete with hop-ups (one dynoed at 74 ft/lbs) were so d&nm slow!

Is it just weight?

And then there's the steering and brakes...

How 'bout those Buell's? Think they've got the kinks worked out?

Default Men who never surrender . . .

Men who never surrender to the hideous sight of plain bolts. Men with real plastic hot-toppers. Men with leather streamers (aka- fringe). Men with $200 brake levers. Men with easy-pull clutches. Men with $3500 "preferred customer" plans that prevent them from ever having to change their own oil. That's right, real men.

This looks just like a Duece I rented last year in Orlando. Fun. The bike is like a celebrity, everywhere you go, people stare. Guys look at it like they are watching a topless dancer--dreaming. But, I'm too much of a nerd for a bike like that. I'd look stupid riding it with a full-face helmet and non-fingerless gloves. Alas, I am better off with my weird BMW and geeky ABS with heated grips. But I'll always remember that day..

The Duece only cost me $80, including insurance and riding gear, for a whole day. There are lots of other bikes I'd like to rent and put a couple hundred miles on. Too bad nobody rents anything other than Harley's.
