Default Re: So.. Bad Brakes!

The brakes work fine. You just have to pull the lever farther than you usual. As far as I could tell, with MY big ass on the thing, about 91MPH is the absoloute maximum the brakes will ever have to deal with. My comment wasn't implying that the brakes didn't work, just that you have to adjust and use all four fingers, so you don't pinch one between the lever and the grip.

I WISH! It was a Saturday - Monday 48hour loan from Aprilia, for a brief MO riding impression. Needless to say, I WAS impressed! Look for a brief story in the next week or so.

Default I DON'T THINK SO KPAUL

NOT TRUE. Go to www.hondamotorcycles.com and check out their "Fall Values". You will clearly see that 2003s are definitely part of the program. Or how about checking out www.bmwmotorcycles.com and looking at their promotions. Yup, you guessed it, 2003s are included there as well.

Good Lord, you just live in a fantasy land don't you. Why are you so angry at Buell? Have you ever ridden one? You make me question your veracity when you blatantly lie, or at the very minimum, spew forth inaccuracies.

As I stated in my"Point not Counterpoint" The motor already works just fine. The clutch and tranny are a PITA, but the motor is not really holding the Buell back, when the going gets twisty.

Geez, if you guys beef up the XB9S enough, you may end up with a stock Honda VTR1000.

Harley, LOL

Default I stand corrected and I have ridden a Buell before

I stand corrected on the financing. I have ridden a cyclone shook like a paint shaker.

I am not angry at Buell i.e. it is nothing personal. I just think compared to the competition they are overpriced compared to the SV1000

Default Room for all ... entertainers and tech writers.

Being a motorcycle news junkie, I read em all. Burns and some of the Cycle World guys are more entertaining but I usually end up on the opinion side of the anal factual types from Motorcyclist and SportRider. I probably learn the most from SportRider i.e. riding tips, gear, etc. I like Burns stuff in Cycle World.
