I'm still undecided about the aesthetics but never the less, it's a sweet bike. Unfortunately, for me, cost is an issue and the Japanese bikes are just too close (and many would say better) in performance and reliability to the Ducs. For me, it makes more sense to keep my 916 and buy a GSX-R (or 954 or R1 or ...) rather than sell my 916 and buy a 999 (one bike to ride, the other to look at; seems a fair deal).

You guys finally put up some wallpapers! I would really like that for each bike review. Anyone else?

The catalytic converter, issat supposed to be on the tail of the bike? Did that tail light come from a scooter and the like forgot till the last design step to add it? What's up with the build-it sticks chain adjuster? Can we have some more useless line and contours? The gas cap, that's from a '63 Chevy truck! And what ever happened to integrated design?
Summary: Shouldn't have to learn to like a Ducati! |

Nice job Yossef. The 916/998 will always be wonderful machines -- but agree with you on the torture rack ergos for street riding. Ducati was smart to address that issue with the triple 9. If only Terblanche had retained Tamburini's affection for cats.

You guys are really slipping without me- you can't even spell "Israel" correctly! Is-real? Come on...
Regardless, it's a cool bike. The whole styling issues will blow over soon enough. Personally, I'm glad they experimented and didn't go with a rehash of the 916.

Well done, Yossef... we'll all admit to unrepentant jealousy (snif).
As for the bike, well done Ducati! It looks like I'll have to consider parting with something (or a coupla somethings) to make some room... hmmmm... The former ergonomics kept me from keeping a Duc around for too long, but now... |

Yo, el Skinnio--I take no credit for the captiones, but yes we are slipping without you. And can I borrow an F-16? I'm having some trouble with the neighbors...
