The adjustable ergos are revolutionary but the rest of the bike does nothing for me.



The Japanese rarely have an original thought, but that is OK. No doubt they will copy the adjustable ergo thing. Older riders appreciate it, and older riders are the ones with money to buy the open class sport bikes.



Come on Suzuki. You update the GSXR bikes every couple years. Give the TL1000R the lighter and tighter treatment and throw in the ergo adjustability. I like the Suzuki copycat twins. Desmo? Ugh. What a hassle...

Hmmm, I don't happen to have an F-16 quite yet- they're still relatively new and therefore spendy, though I do have some leads on some sweet Czech planes at attractive prices. Oh, and will this be a rental or contract tactical strike with pilots provided? Have you learned to fly yet, Calvin?

Default someone stop Terblanche

First the 900SS, now this.



I don't dislike the entire design of the 999. Its mainly the upper/nose piece. Its bad. Sorry but it is. It looks like something from a video game. Sorry I had to say that.

The review says " ..it definitely kept growing on me." Now, is this really accepable for this caliberr of motorcycle? From the creators of the 916? I have read reviews of the 900SS, which Terblanche also "reworked", that said the same thing. -That the design was not stunning but over time it kinda "grows" on you. The newer 900 is a far better bike mechanically over the older model. However sales have been low. The earlier model seemed to save Ducati. Of the new 900s I have seen on the road most have been the half fairing type. Ducati's saviour is now the Monster. Based off the 900, and without fairing.



Don't get me wrong though, I like the bike very much, even the instruments. I just HOPE someone will make a replacement piece for the upper faring. Maybe even use the 916 headlight assembly. Just sharpen the angles to match. Sharkskinz, AirTech....?



As for being adjustable, Yamaha was first at that with the Morphro(1990-91).

Default wallpaper

The wallpapers should be standard with every bike review. I've always thought that MO should better leverage one of it's greatest advantages over print mags, and provide lots of high quality pictures with every bike review. Print mags could never afford a dozen or so closeups of every part of a new bike (brakes, engine, controls, suspension, ect). MO could do this for practically no cost, and leave nothing to the imagination.

You've echoed my thoughts exactly. Maybe now the Japanese will incorporate adjustable ergoes on their bikes too. At least now that Ducati has done it it will be okay for them (and Triumph, don't forget Triumph and Guzzi and Aprilia, etc.) to do it also.

Now lets compare Massimo Tamburini's latest design the MV F4, The spiritual successor to the 916-998, to this "Design". I don't think the bike had to be hit with an ugly stick to

implement the many revolutionary upgrades. It could have been done better. Massimo please come back and save the new 900ss before it is too late....
