Why Sean? Why are you screaming at us? Why are you filled with such hate for the world and all those in it? You're a rage-a-holic. Do own a multitude of high powered rifles and or shotguns? Have you ever painted your face camouflaged to go shopping at Wal-mart? Is the first decision of your day what or who do I hate first? The only remaining reason you continue to live is to bring a little bit of sadness to us, right? It's just so sad.

Take care,

Dave

(Just kidding, good article, good read, good luck.)

My therapist says that screaming is the least destructive outlet. IS THAT OK WITH YOU!?!?!?

That was a very good post on how to get started. I've been club racing for a few years up here in wmrra and omrra. I used to do the chango presto with my street bike to but after a year I decided the hell with this and bought a used 99 gixxer 750 that the former #1 plate raced. god was I happy not to have to do the conversion anymore. I paid $6500 for a bike that the shop he raced for had about $12000 into. That's about the only thing I would add, the top racers turn their bike over every 2 years at least If they race for contingancy money, {bike can't be over 2 years old}. So you can get a dedicated race bike for pretty cheap. One other thing, what sean said about suspension is right on, it's the # 1 thing to change first. I was over taxing my stock suspension in 6 races.

My therapist has given me specific instructions not to talk about it.

Welcome aboard,

Dave

This is THE story I have been looking for. I am looking to buy a used SV650 this winter and make a track bike out of it. No need for dual purpose, the R1100S will never be bested on the street...

Good show MO, the more you write about building a race bike and racing, the more kudos to you.
