I agree...I bought the VTR when it came out and sold it for its ****ty suspension, and *****-poor range. I bought at SV650...at the time I wished for an SV850 (850 in the 650 frame...) I will buy the SV1000S...I hope they have one in blue, but silver is OK, I guess...

Assumeing the valveing and spring rates are correct then I' d think you don't want any friction or stiction at all, any amount is going to inhibit the other suspension componants from working correctly

When i first saw the new sv650s I thought it looked so good that I might have trouble selling my 01svs. But after showing it to my wife and friends they dont like it as much. I will still get a new 03 svs because I like the new looks, and handlebars look raised an better wind protection and fuel injection.

Umm, yeah, ok,,,, I'd think twice before I bought a Korean vehicale, being the proud owner of a new Hyundia Elantra way back when,,,, nice car but lots of nickle/dime b.s. that kept it in the shop as much as on my driveway. I guess they've improved alot since then.

Agreed.

Just blows my mind when I read these posts and the first thing out of everyones mouth is "it's ugly" or "it looks like _____ "

I mean geez .. it's a 140+hp / 370lb (d) sportbike, it deserves more respect than that.

I realize a lot of people buy things based on how they look (or more accurately - how they perceive others will see them) but am I the only one that puts function over form ...

I guess I just don't understand the "That bike SUCKS because I think it looks bad" mentality.
