AHGGGG have you sat on the ZZR-1200? The Ergos are not even in the same planet. It is much more sport than tour, and hard bags are an add on. Those of us that are married and need to ride two up all the time (not to mention I'm not built like Nicky Hayden) need big powerful bikes. But I'm not ready to Goldwing-it yet. I just don't understand the thinking behind the reluctance to bring super-sport touring to America. Please Yamaha, I want to test ride a FJR.

AWD is not allowed in any street racing I know of. It is seen as an unfair advantage. An AWD Indy car or Nascar would blow everything away if they could keep the tires on.

Well put. I couldn't agree with you more. I think Kawasaki finally decided to have a more technical bike than the rest. I can't wait to test ride the new 6RR.

You are absolutely right!

Before I got into motorcycles all I knew was that the "cool" motorcylces were all Ninja's. The name "Ninja" is signifies sportbikes.

Default Re: Can it race it 600 SuperSport??

The 636 is for more power on the street, and it is also legal for Superstock (formerly known as 750 Supersport). With reports of all but Honda and Ducati dropping out of the AMA superbike class, the riders will need to get more track time somehow. The superstock class is a good way to do that, and it doesn't hurt to have a more powerful middleweight to run against the 750s. Can't go into the superstock class on an uncompetitive bike now, can you?

I just watched Tommy Hayden finish fourth in the WSMC sponsored Toyota 200, and I must say that if their current 600 is fast enough (with Tommy aboard) to run with the big bikes at a horsepower track like Willow Springs, then the new 6R and 636 are gonna be scorchers.
