Default This could be the bike that turns me to the dark side

i.e. darkside = cruiser guy.

Default Causing a Ruckus

Damn...does that little Ruckus look fun or what? Reminds me of all the little bikes that people ride around in Japan.

Default Rune Looks Cool to Me!

While not a cruiser rider, I really dig this new Honda! Talk about eye candy! If the finish is up to the design you can bet it will draw attention no matter where it shows up. Way to go Honda! Don't be afraid to take a chance like this every once in a while. Taking the route closer to the edge seems to have worked pretty well for Chrysler these days. Hopefully it will work in the bike market too. Homogenaity is a scourge for the entire world!

Default I like the Rune

I like the Rune, I think the name is wicked and very fitting. I would definately ride that bike, and I think it's awesome to have a power cruiser that breaks the V-Twin mold.

I like the way the Rune looks, and my 50 year old mother really liked it. Sounds like a good sign to me.

Go to the paint shop and get the Runes done yourself, and hit it with an extra clear coat. Sonds like a plan to me, if you like stripes/graphics/etc.

Default Question:

Question for everyone who hates the Rune:

Which would you prefer: The Rune or the R1200cl "Elephant"?

Default The Rune Rules

Sorry, I just had to give it that title. Seriously, it is one very nice looking bike. Cruisers, it seems, are about displaying engine hardware decoratively, and you can't beat a big honkin' flat six for that purpose. By God, that's an engine. Add to that the funky forks, the gallon-jug-size headlight, and the pimp daddy purple paint and it's truly a unique bike. The tank looks awful long, leading me to wonder about reach to the bars and also whether, as JB once said, the footpegs will be in a "stupid" place for riding.

The new 600RR seems nice, but if you're going to sell an older "street" 600, bring over the Euro spec model with all the plush goodies and DROP THE DAMN PRICE!! People still buy ZX-6's and YZF600's for those reasons. And yes, in response to someone's question, the 600RR tailpipe DOES look like an anus. (And it has SNOT. Oh wait, sorry, that's "SNIT." My mistake, though hardly more attractive.)

Finally, the VFR looks good in silver. Can you say "FJR Jr."?
