20.5L is about 5.4 U.S. Gal Still not a huge tank but better than 4.5 Gal

Which figure is correct 5.4 or 4.5?

Less liters than meets the eye, is that part of the puzzle?

I've had the pleasure of moving up the food chain from an R110R to my current R1150RT. Once you've ridden these magnificently engineered machines you look beyond appearances and come to appreciate the flawless handling and sense of confidence these bikes inspire. So why all the moaning about the looks? I don't get it. I have no doubt the CL is another finely crafted German machine that will serve it's owners well for year after year of reliable, trouble-free riding.

This is one ugly bike! Dorky, too. Reminds me of the car Homer designed.

Default something's amiss

I ran the conversion a few times, and I think you have a number transposed somewhere. 1 US gallon is equal to 4.546 liters- you can check my sources to make certain.

Why in the world would someone buy a CL when they could buy a RT a much better bike for the same money? .

Now skip down a couple of lines from the Canadian gallon to the "U.S. liquid" gallon, where you'll see that 1gal = 3.7854118l.

Thus 20.5liters = 5.42 US gallons.

A liter is bigger than a quart (a 2l bottle of soda is more than 1/2 gallon at 67.6oz).

Now 5.4 gallons still isn't huge, but that's a pretty significant error.

If I remember correctly, Mr Robb was wearing a pink "Porn Star" T-shirt as he was led away by the authorities...
