Itchface,

Jay is right here. The Canadians are very thrifty with grammar. I noticed when I worked with some Canadian computer programmers that not only do the conserve space with compound words like "alot" but the pronounce thier technical acronyms rather than saying the letters. For instance the acronym CICS is 4 syllables "See-eye-See-ess" but the Canadians just say "Kicks". Very clever. When you add up all the syllables saved, it really, well, it adds up.

Incidentally, I sold a R1150GS after getting frustrated with the dead feel of the telelever.

I know this is a dead horse by now...

but where the hell is the bike that started the whole big naked bike thing off?

The 1200 Bandit may not have won, but it would have held its own and will save you a pile of money over the others.

Don't omit a great bike just because it isn't the newest or trendiest thing in the showroom.

12er,

Yeah, I read the article before posting. And I have to admit you're right. There is a reference that there IS more to come.

Unfortunately it was early this morning pre-coffee and at work when I was supposed to be uh...working (didn't have the will power to wait until I was at home to read it).

Not having much interest in the 919 I missed Burns reference to what I am looking for. "(not a real advantage at Fontana but a big one in the Street Competition, to come when we get around to it)"

Put me down as eagerly awaiting the "Street Competition" part of this test.

Again, as before, Thank you MO for the comparison test.

Default Re: Where is the previous naked bike winner?

My understanding of "naked" is a pavement racer minus the plastic.

Which excludes Harley (unless the V-Rod could outdo anyone on that comparison), KTM (single cylinder dirtbike with street tires), Husaburg (more dirtbikes), VOR.....CCM also makes a dirtbike with street tires....

I checked out their homepages before disagreeing with you....but you bring up an interesting idea....

How well do dirtbikes with street tires compare to impractical bikes around town?

Well, I've learned alot (see?) about Canadian ways from these posts. So what is that Canadians do with all the accumulated STRANGE (Spare Time Redeemed After Not Grammatically Elaborating)?

I think I'm getting the hang of emulating this CP (Canuckian Peculiarity). It's alot of fun!

Man what planet do you live on, Do you meen to say a busa can't blow that beemer away. Man I don't care were you ride, a busa will smack it silly, corner entrance, corner exit or straight away. not to mention my R1 which will kill em both in the corner's. I think if it has two wheels and a engine it's great. harley. duc, zx9, beemer, ktm etc. every bike is fun to ride. I thought it was a fun test of some great bike's. Let's keep some prespective here. Live to ride, ride to live
