Damn!!!! A 164mph CBR F2 in 1992? Damn that's fast...





Well, it was 618cc with ridiculous compression.

Well, I guess this article wasn't meant for me because I'm not a race nut, but...I'm sorry, this does NOT measure up to the Burns standard. Just because the web lets you lay out the entire transcript of the tape, doesn't mean you should. God, I thought this article would never end. Hello, any editors in there?

Ihave to take exception to the title. There's no "secret". Money, lots of it, is the main ingredient. And willingness to change course. Honda kept pushing the V4 and pouring Yen into it, but untimately gave up. Oh yes and a certain amount of perseverence - even after they threw in the towel and began to copy the Italians, it took them a couple years to get it right.



Not to knock Ludington. He knows how to get the most out of the hardware and the riders, a rare and valuable talent. At least Honda buys him good hardware and riders!



Don't let the complaints, including mine, get to you. It was a fine interview!
