Default call me a squid

I'm looking at this bike, which reminds me of several other bikes. The front reminds me of a squashed Honda F2, the frame and overall layout says 900ss and/or BMW 1100RS, the tail is Buell XB9R, and the rear is Ducati with the underseat tailpipes.

I think that these fellas need to invest as much in design into this bike as they did with the Furia--because it's UUUuuuugly. That's just my squidly opinion.

Default Furia gets 6 speed?

Are you sure about the 6 speed? I just finished reading the g-b web site and it was mentioned that the frame for the Supertwin was built around the 5 speed (as at the time Moto Guzzi had refused to supply the 6 speed), so the 6 speed would not fit. I was under the impression that the Furia uses the same frame as the Supertwin.

Default Furia = 5-Speed

According to the specs page on the Ghezzi & Brian website.

Default Re: Brian and Ghezzi Feedback = Back in the USA!

I've heard or read somewhere (here?) that perimeter brakes do not cause the bike to stand up when applied hard with the bike heeled well over deep into a corner. If that's true, I consider it a big plus, not because I normally leave braking until the apex but I do, due to my bicycle road racing career in a previous life, tend to sometimes want to scrub off a little speed after leaning the bike way over.

On a different note entirely:

<blockquote>

Rear drive gear box: helical tooth gears, ratio 1.35 (17/23) final drive by shaft with two separate cardan joints and floating crown wheel and pinion box, ratio 4.12 (8/33).

</blockquote>

I wonder what cardan joints and floating crown wheels and pinion boxes are. Is this good? The 8-tooth gear doesn't sound too robust. How often do these need replacement, I wonder?
