Well said. I will probably delete MCN bookmark if they keep up like this.

If I were interested in buying one of these three bikes, I'd read the article. I also guess that would mean I would have to subscribe, and base on the above comments that isn't going to happen. But reading these comments makes me LMAO...so it's not a total loss. ;-)

Well... its interesting that many people ***** about the subscription money.... its $12, they do a decent job.... and its convenient. These guys are doing a GREAT JOB.... some of u whiners should hope to do half as good a job as them... and intrinsically u know (whiners) that I am right

The argument is irrelevant - Re: 2002 Openclass Shootout, Part I

Whether your arguments are true or not is completely irrelevant. Most decisions in life are ultimately not based on logic but rather on subjective factors. I for one am glad of this since few aspects of our lives are logically necessary. Life is short, ride hard.

Where are my scooters

Hey MO,how 'bout some stories on dem dere S'pah bike and GP1 riders. How about some stories on greats of the past and so on. There is more about motorcycles than just the bikes themselves and race results. How about the history?

And where is that Scooter shootout?

Re: 2002 Openclass Shootout, Part I

Where were all you ZX-9 fans for the last 8 years that I rode one (a '94 & a '98)? For all those years I was teased and ridiculed by the Honda and Yamaha riders and was left out of all the weekend canyon runs. Women and children would laugh and point at me as I chugged past. Cops constantly pulled me over, then burst into uncontrollable laughter after announcing they were just kidding.

I could take it no more, and traded up to a CBR954RR. And yes, Mr. Burns is correct. A ZX can't win in this go fast group. Probably couldn't even win Best Paperweight.

Re: 2002 Openclass Shootout, Part I

I think if you take 10 average sportbike riders, put them on any of these [r1, gsxr, zx9, 954], put them on the track, the times would be pretty close. I have a 2000 zx9, and a 2000 r1. I race the r1, and the zx9 is my street ride. The zx9 is a much better street bike [omrra #270]
