Near the end of the article...
Another rider to make history was Michael Sturtz, who went 130.614 MPH on the biodiesel-powered Die Moto machine. Sturtz's design fuses a European diesel engine, sourced from a car, with an R1150RT running on B100 biodiesel. Sturtz built the unique design at the Oakland non-profit arts organization - The Crucible. Sturtz is the founder and executive director of the program, which teaches skills like welding, blacksmithing and other industrial arts. Now Sturtz can add world record-holder to his resume. http://www.motorcycle-usa.com/Articl...ID=5229&Page=1 |
