Considering how little support Buell has been given I can't imagine Ducati expecting to be treated as an equal partner, either. On the positive side, it would immediately give Ducati a significant presence in every US city.

Interesting... Too bad they took the wrong turn and went with obsolete twins when they could of dominated the world quickly with the V-4.. They have a second chance..now..

Are you thinking used, or "year end savings" type of cheap? I think $14k is pretty competitive if the bike is what I hope it will be. They still don't have a ship date at the local dealer yet anyway, but I'm thinking of putting down a refundable deposit. You just never know if the bike is going to hit you right until you see it and sit on it.

Our local HD dealer (Bruce Rossmeyer) has turned his stores into frikin "Auto Malls" for bikes. He has Ventos, a gazillion choppers, SCOOTERS, trikes, and crap I don't even know what it is. At one point they had these stupid "F1" go carts!

HD ought to hang on to their air of exclusivity in my opinion. Duc would fit that model, but not as yet another line in an already cluttered mishmash.

yep!!

I'm one of them. or two of them.. two H-D's

one Duc 999

hmmm....

they are quite similar, except for the bottom line.

H-D is finicky and expensive to repair.

so is Ducati.

Ducati is over engineered and are noisy rattle traps.

H-D are just rattle traps.

Ducati clothing line is high $

Harley , just $

both have staunch followers who would die before saying a bad word about them.

me,,, I just ride' em
