I second that. We can post about 100,000+ stories a day of 4-wheels killing or injuring people. Unless it's a good meaningful article, or a truly pivotal story, the accident stuff is old... it happens everyday to people in/on vehicles.

Most laws concerning citizen's arrest apply only to situations where there is a clear danger of death or serious bodily harm to a person or persons. It must also be willful (like me pointing a gun at someone during a robbery) as opposed to negligent (me speeding in a residential area).

Seems to be a rash of this. Some lady here in South Florida stood in front of a van to keep him from driving off while her husband went up to the driver to confront him after a minor accident. The driver panicked and drove off, killing the lady.
I'm telling you, it's getting crazier by the minute out there...

Nah, you just hear more about it now. 15 -20 years ago you wouldn't hear what stupid thing Joe Sixpack did unless it made the national news are happened locally in your area. Now we hear and read everything from everywhere via the whacky, whacky internet device. All because of Al Gore.

But nobody could beat JB's rants. They were worth the price of admission.

In most states it has to be a felony, and you must have witnessed the felony take place to try any arrest. Unless you are armed and willing to suffer the consequences of an arrest gone bad, I'd just call the cops. That's what they do.

In Chicago, you only can hold your gun until you get arrested for having one.......unless you are a criminal and then it's OK. King Daley has spoken.

Any "accident" that happens on Private Property is generally ignored by Police - unless there's an Injury involved.

Good point, we're all so "media-ized" that every little thing winds up eveywhere. Then we all get to comment on it...how did we ever get along before?
That Al Gore. All those facts and figures...
