"They buy .44mags when a .38 is more than sufficient."

-But what if I already have a .38, and a 9mm, and a .45, a .22, .223, 8mm, 30-06, .308, .40, 7.62x39, .270, 12 gauge, .45 Long Colt, 410 gauge, .303, and a .357? Can I get the .44 mag now? Or would that be excessive?

Kawi is dropping the Z750 and only selling the 1k in 2008. Sorry, but you have even less choice. As Michael Corleone said, it's not personal, it's business.

You need that new light weight S&W 500.

...the Japanese are behind the curve again. As the cruiser market slows, and more folks are drawn twords naked standards, the big four (three?) continue to pump out even more extravagant cruisers. Very much like US automakers did with giant gas guzzling SUVs, right before the recent gas crunch.

At least you'll be able to buy them for a song pretty soon. Like my Ducati buddy who just purchased a fully loaded '06 GTO for $27,000.00. Granted, it looks like a bloated Cavalier, but a fast one.

Ah, the perfect home defense gun. I bet you get great follow-up shots with that.

Pontiac completely f*cked that up, didn't they. You have a great name and a dumb design. They didn't even try with that thing. What an abortion...

Default Cruisers vs. Choppers

I'm not so sure the "cruiser" market is slowing, but I'm damn sure the "chopper" or "custom" market is. Around here there's still plenty of people buying what I'd call a cruiser, that is, bigger frame, low upright seating, wider bars, two passengers, windshield and bags.

Gas guzzlers seem to be losing favor...speaking of GTOs etc.

"Am I alone in this rational and is there really no market for this type of rider in the US?"

Not alone, but close enough to not count.

"Japan if you are listening please take back 4 cruiser options and give us 4 more street bike options (True Naked's preferably, looking at you Mr. Yamaha and Mr. Kawasaki)!!"

I guess that would give them 4 more models that don't sell for shyt, and takes away 4 that sell by the boatload. I'm sure they will do it pronto. I'd say anyone that can't find a bike to like with the current lineup of offerings isn't looking very hard. Wouldn't 62 different models of naked standards be just as wrong as 62 models of cruisers?

As someone who drove a 1968 GTO for the last 30 years, GM totally botched it up. Why didn't they at least TRY to pust some legendary GTO styling cues in the design? Like a wide split grill, the stacked slit tailights up high on a chrome rear bumper...or the dual air scoops on the hood?

At least they learned their lesson with the new Camaro (Firebird?). Sadly they let the GTO get left behind, and eventually dropped.

A Holden Monaro does not a GTO make...
