I'm more cynical than that, but I'm a crazy commie, don't listen to me.

ummm, then why does Miami have a per-capita crime rate that's higher than NYC?

I got tired of my wife complaining about the rear seat of the G. Otherwise I'd have just put on a set of smoothbores and put another 75K on it. My main difficulty with the GL is adjusting to the loss of about 25 hp. Still, I'm having a hoot on it.

Can't remember a motorcycle I didn't have a hoot on, for that matter.

I do this same exact commute: 85-90 miles, somedays on the twisty-turny roads somedays on less challenging roads. My 2003 R1150RT has the servo-assist (I believe "universally despised servo-assist") linked system. Since these are my first linked AND my first ABS brakes, I can only tell you that the beemer brakes will stop you fast and straight. They are quite annoying when used in any slow cornering, more due to the linking ratio than the ABS feature. However, I believe that BMW dumped the servo-assist feature on the R1200 series.

Isn't that the sound a cat makes when you step on its tail?

That video really doesn't prove anything other than honda brakes are stong enough to lock both wheels. The rider didn't use any skills to try to slow the bike safely, he just grabbed all he could. That is a bad idea even on an ABS equipped bike. It probably would have stopped in a shorter distance if he had applied the brakes like a normal personal rather than a moron.

I'm convinced Harley could save money, and make the bikes safer by installing crashbar mounting pads with a friction-material on them. Lightens the load by doing-away with that superfluous brake-rotor AND gives a shorter, more-controlled stop...........
