Halliburton is a talismanic word, like "neo-con", that gets people like tomk in a delirious flutter.

And notice the way he conflates leftard conspiracies of the war's purpose with right-wingers' actual expectations. I have never seen a right-winger say that the purpose of the Iraq war was to get Halliburton to sell us cheap oil. You'd think that the fact the oil contracts went to European firms would have caused a bit of howling from the Right if that were the case. Have you heard a peep? Me either. But it tomk world, reality takes a back seat to hysteria.

As I recall, Diesel's original engine was designed to run on Peanut Oil.

One of the training films I saw ages ago said that the idea came from a noise making toy out of the Pacific that used palm oil and a piece of bamboo. Any body remember the multifuel truck that the military got rid of? The M35's?

Actually it's disengenuous of me to say they 'all' were Democrats. It's about half and half with the neocons. Rummy and Feith were always Republicans. Perle was a Democrat (and may still be one, he's a weirdo), as was Irving Kristol originally, so-called founder of the neo-con movement. It's not clear how they all shake-down in what they believe except for the whole neocon foreign policy stuff.

What I wanna know is what fluid can you buy/obtain for 46 cents a gallon? Gas & Diesel may be expensive, but its still they are still the cheapest liquid you can buy after tap water. You might be able build an engine that runs on starbucks, but who could afford it?
