Re: Commitment Fears
Get a low mileage, used KLR650 for less than $3500. Totally different bike that's tons of fun around town, back roads, dirt roads and light trails and never needs to be washed. Your Sprint will last longer and you'll have a blast.

Re: Commitment Fears
You guys have helped answer a very nagging question for me. I currently own 4 bikes (3 are payed for) but I started looking at the Moto Guzzis and really liked the Breva 1100 which I test rode last week. I thought I would just trade the oldest one, a R1100RT with 36,000 miles on it, in. But, the bike runs perfect and I just did a very heavy maintenance myself on her. So yes, there is room for one more in the garage, albeit even if just a little cramped. My only fear ? What if they breed ?

Re: Maybe you should look in different places.
I got to get my two cents in here somewhere.

The libertarian guy I used to know had a livein girlfriend and thought he owned the world. She was younger and he was old and wise. Then, one day, she moved on.

Re: Commitment Fears
Depends on the pairings. If you've got an Interceptor and a Gixxer, you could get a one-off MotoGP replica. If you've got an Interceptor and an Intruder, you could get a Madura.

Be a Spartan. Show no mercy.

I'd keep the ring in my pocket, ready to use, for when I heard the words "biological clock ticking".

Maduras are sterile, like mules, aren't they?

Re: Commitment Fears

I just rode 500+ miles this weekend, down to the Keys and West to Naples. A lot of it in the rain...windshields, who knew??? That's a distance that would have left me half dead and the HD ready for 4-8 hours of maintenance. It's hard to imagine two more different bikes...raw and primitive versus smooth and refined. As much as I love that old HD, there's little doubt which bike I'll be riding most. I've been browsing around the COG website, mostly just familiarizing myself with bike in general. I expect I will join soon, and taking a ride to West VA on the Concours sounds like a lot of fun! Thanks very much for the note.
