The future is in biodiesel made from algae. MIT has already set up a coal fired power plant with a "bioreactor" on the smoke stack that uses the emissions from the stack to very rapidly grow algae. It not only cleans up the emissions from the stack, but it produces a huge amount of algae, to the point that it can be harvested several times a week. Algae is also very easy to convert to ethanol or biodiesel.

Default This is great news for the environment...

Because those that purchase Tank Sports motorcycles won't be riding after 3000km, they'll be walking/using public transportation. I would rather buy a 3 year old ninja 250 for 2k than spend 2.5k on a brand new gas burning Tank Sports 250.

The 1:1.3 number for Ethanol is correct. The gasoline number is not - but I can't recall what the return-ratio is (and rather than kpauling you guys, I'll just leave it at that).

It's a commie plot to invade the West. Here's a secret picture of what they are REALLY shipping here!

I just dropped a capful of sodium bromide in my pool this morning.

I should have scraped that algae off and sold it to KP!

Well by not speaking he didn't emit any extra CO2 so that counts as a "carbon offset."

Funny I thought I posted this one as well. Think biodiesel is more practical and has a much better energy ratio. (energy out/energy in).. kzuki, kjester, ksteamer, kbully, ksparrow.. It's ok to admit you missed my posts.. kwrong (seruzaWa) is actually right for once...

OK, howzabout this'n:

I have this friend, who had this friend (Friend Of a Friend) that worked at a refinery. FOF said to my friend, that when he started working at the refinery in the mid-'50s, the "estimated cost" to the Refinery for a gallon of Ethyl was $0.09. When FOF left the Refinery in the late-'80s, the "estimated cost" to the Refinery for a gallon was $0.11. A $0.02 rise in ~35 years.

That's not quite kpaulin' you guys - but it's close (hearsay).

And the Rainbows are harvested by Leprechauns, and turned into Gold and given to President Bush so he can afford to make war on all the Middle-Eastern countries that are squatting on our Oil...........
