Ain't nobody gonna bring up "Then Came Bronson"? I believe it was made by MGM and shown as a movie of the week. Even though it became a TV show, it still was a movie and not a bad one at that. Hell, as biker movies go, it was academy-award-level stuff.

How bout biker scenes in Mad Max. I loved those guys. Almost named my first daughter "Toecutter."

Long Way Around spoiled by whining limeys. Just think if Malcom had done it! Best part was the Russian trucks.

Steve.

Dust to Glory? Come on, that was one of the best biker movies ever, even if it had a bit of truck racing too. I'm gonna assume Ghost Rider will go down with all the other Nicolas Cage action films on the all time classic movie list, oh wait.

What about Dust to Glory?

Not entirely about bikes, but definitly a great film.

An honest portrayal of what its like to ride and the comradeship.

One man's island look like it whould have been good, but it

just wasn't compelling at all. In the interviews he told stories of the locals, but did not intergrate this into the film. Only decent part was the onboard ride at the end.

Roberta was a BAAD Girl. I had to run out and buy candles after seeing that flick.

It's like the traction control and ABS on all the Cadillacs - every time snow or ice hits the ground, these damn fools are the ones on your back bumper, stuff-passing you in curves, driving like idiots - worse than the fools in 4WD SUVs.

They can't drive for shyte in the dry, but can "outdrive" everyone else in the slick stuff. All because of their electronic crutch.

I tell you, I can hardly wait for "smart cars" and "smart roads" - at least I won't worry that the computer will do something to crash me because of an ego-problem.

The fatass "layin 'er down" to save it on a (then)$50k choppa' isn't "damaging to the image of motorcycles"?

Or Don shooting-apart a Japanese bike, then stealing a mid-'70s Sportster as a "more reliable replacement" isn't stretching things a bit?

Long Way Round was fantastic.

Let's see; there was Time Rider?

And I seem to remember a TV series in the early-80s that featured a crime fighter/superhero on a mysterious bike that would go like 500mph. It had the usual rockets and stealth mode like Airwolf, but I remember the dubbed-in motorcycle sounds were pretty fantastic... like an open-megaphone Z-1 but speeded-up so it sounded like about 11,000 rpm (Maybe an RC-141 or some other tasty Honda '60s GP bike). I loved that cheesy show!
