The 650 cruiser has a handy CRUISE badge on the tank. Even after a bottle of Mad Dog you can work out what to do with the thing

Yep reminds me when Japanese companies would use Americanized brand names i.e. Datsun vs Nissan...etc.

Excellent Point

I hear you but unfortunately that trend has accelerated in the last 6 years.. According to economic theory our huge budget deficits will devalue the dollar relatively to other currencies and imports will become more expensive and our exports will become price competitive. Unfortunately, that only helps if we still have an manufacturing base to take advantage of it. But the electronics, tv, etc industry shows that once its gone its really hard for a new U.S. company to start back up. i.e. the barriers to entry are just too great.

I actually like the looks of the sports bike though the front end looks imitation Suzuki.. A 3 year motor warranty and a 18 month wheel to wheel is a good start. I think they missed the price point (to high) on the 650 by a $1000. I would still probably buy the SV650S with ABS and add a lower fairing.

Opps it's a V-Twin ... never mind these bikes suck and are obsolete..

Good analogy with the PC boom.. Lots of components were outsourced offshore back then.. When I built my first computer most of the stuff was made in the U.S. and Japan. When I built my second computer, most of the components were built in Taiwan, Malaysia, Indonesia, Korea, etc..

South Korea is quite possibly the most "wired" nation in the world. Components coming from there can probably be trusted further than their counterparts made in the good Ol' U.S. of A.
