I have a V-strom 1000. Works well for long rides, commuting in urban environment, twisties, sweepers, and even gravel and dirt roads (if you air down the tires - I keep a compressor under the seat to reinflate them). Rides well solo and 2 up. Soaks up bumps. Lots of torque - goes right up a hill. Good range (40mpg x 5.8 gal tank). Good leg room for tall riders. I don't understand why everyone does not have one.

Yeah, it's a little creepy too. President's are not supposed to be royalty. Ford was a good man, and restored some respect for the office, but one day is all a guy like Ford would likely want. The rest is just sailboat fuel.

Default Well...

A: The 'stroms don't pose. They are wonderful bikes, but DAMN they are pugly...

B: The 650 is better (what it loses in power it makes up for in agility), so most who want the strom save the $2k and get the Wee instead.

If I had 25 bikes in the last decade and five in my garage, about now I would be LIVING in my garage. "Aww, come on, honey, let me in. It's cold out here!"

True Dat! Ive tracked, sport rode, commuted, toured, and even chased a Triumph Tiger down a mud covered hillside (admittedly very slowly) on my ZRX. The UJM is still the worlds most functional bike.
